Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized care plans and monitor progress.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including charting vital signs, medications, and patient responses.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patient conditions.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
