Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Respond to code blue and emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or willingness to relocate).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred for senior roles.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
