Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specialized specimen collection
- Process and prioritize high-volume diagnostic specimens
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict patient confidentiality
- Train junior technicians on updated phlebotomy protocols
- Operate automated analyzers and lab information systems
- Implement quality control measures for specimen integrity
- Collaborate with physicians for specialized testing requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Proven expertise in pediatric and geriatric blood draws
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field
