Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg or ICU preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
