Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by collecting, organizing, and documenting health information and symptoms.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient response to treatments and medications, reporting any adverse reactions or changes in condition immediately.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients/families.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and clinical notes.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical standards.
