Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and responses to treatment in the EMR system accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop effective patient care strategies.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Indiana Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
