Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatments, and progress notes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, discharge instructions, and preventative care.
- Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and families during critical times.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- CPR certification valid for at least six months from the start date.
