Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms to identify changes in medical condition, promptly reporting any deviations to the nursing supervisor.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and health maintenance strategies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions with confidence and speed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
