Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement appropriate nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, including progress notes, assessments, and care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to manage acute situations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication adherence.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
