Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, alerting physicians to any changes in condition immediately.
- Provide compassionate patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and clinical data in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care for patients.
- Adhere to all hospital safety policies, infection control procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
