Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical conditions, documenting all observations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year Med-Surg experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
