Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms, changes in patient conditions, and any complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and nursing policies.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, vital signs, and hygiene assistance.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
