Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care and monitor health status throughout the shift.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Assess patient conditions, identify immediate needs, and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider care team to ensure holistic treatment plans.
- Document patient care accurately, timely, and completely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations, demonstrating calm and decisive action.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a compassionate demeanor.
