Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and medical diagnoses.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care interventions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and apply critical thinking skills to resolve patient issues.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS certification may be required based on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
