Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and comfort measures in a compassionate manner.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and health status to identify changes in medical condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients in critical situations.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, care instructions, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate Degree accepted).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Completion of the NCLEX-RN exam and eligibility for state licensure.
