Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by collecting, organizing, and documenting information such as vital signs, medical history, and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to emergencies with appropriate clinical interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Recent Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and hospital information systems.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
