Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of RNs and physicians.
- Assess patient conditions, document patient data accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond to patient emergencies promptly and effectively, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred; ADN accepted with relevant clinical hours).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various clinical specialties.
