Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' health status and report changes to the nursing team or physicians immediately.
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
- Document patient care activities, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and provide critical care support when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education (or eligibility to obtain).
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred, ADN accepted).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospital setting.
- Strong ethical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Willingness to participate in orientation and continuing education programs.
