Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and interventions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, therapists, CNAs) to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, discharge instructions, and preventative care.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in triage as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas, or eligibility to sit for the NCLEX.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
