Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all assigned patients.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their care plans.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not mandatory for new grads).
- Demonstrated empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
