Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by interviewing, observing, and performing physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document all patient care services accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred, ADN accepted).
- Current, active RN license in the District of Columbia (or eligibility to obtain).
- Completion of or eligibility to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Compassionate nature and a commitment to patient-centered care.
