Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, history, and wishes to develop an individualized care plan.
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the age of the patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and established nursing protocols.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations with appropriate clinical judgment and intervention.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Active, unencumbered Virginia RN license or eligibility for multi-state licensure (Compact Status).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient and family education.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
