Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced nursing staff
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to protocols
- Monitor vital signs and document patient assessments in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge instructions
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
- Participate in shift handoffs and unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active Nebraska Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Recent nursing graduate (within 6 months) or new RN license holders encouraged
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (will provide training if needed)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
