Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with infection control standards
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse license in the District of Columbia or ability to obtain immediately
- BLS certification from American Heart Association (required)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Willingness to participate in our new graduate residency program
