Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient management and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions closely, escalating critical issues immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
