Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient responses accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assist in triage and emergency procedures, ensuring patient safety and rapid response to critical situations.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit, adhering to all hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Completion of a state-approved nursing program.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred (training provided).
