Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during overnight shifts, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies using critical thinking skills
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety compliance
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland (or compact state)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in night shift environments
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
