Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients overnight, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Precept and mentor new nurses to foster a culture of continuous learning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Ensure patient safety and infection control protocols are strictly followed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in medical/surgical or ICU setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments during low-staffing overnight hours
