Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency, ICU, and general medical units during night shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient transitions
- Respond to critical situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Mentor new staff and uphold quality standards through evidence-based practice
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for patient safety
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced overnight environments
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC experience preferred)
