Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, monitoring, and care coordination during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond to emergent situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead patient education initiatives for overnight care protocols
- Mentor junior nursing staff during shift rotations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification (current)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
