Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various departments during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and documentation accuracy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding rapidly to emergency situations
- Maintain detailed electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance
- Preceptor and mentor new nursing staff during night shift rotations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license for potential mobile response duties
