Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient health status and administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond immediately to patient emergencies and critical incidents, initiating appropriate life-saving measures when necessary.
- Accurately and timely document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding treatment plans, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
- Perform routine rounds to ensure patient safety, comfort, and environmental standards are consistently maintained.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during night shift rotations.
- Demonstrated compassion and a patient-centered approach to care.
