Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency, critical care, and general med-surg units overnight
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to critical changes in condition
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Lead code blue responses and emergency interventions during overnight shifts
- Precept new nurses and provide mentorship to clinical staff
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (or compact state)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- 2+ years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proven ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
