Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans during night shift hours
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless 24-hour patient care continuity
- Document clinical observations and patient responses accurately in electronic health records
- Mentor new nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to critical situations and rapid response team activations
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state) with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in Med/Surg or ICU
- BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred for specialty areas
- Proven ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Strong documentation skills with EHR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Excellent critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Spanish bilingual skills highly valued for our El Paso community
