Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse medical units during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond to emergent situations with calm expertise and critical decision-making skills
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize advanced electronic health record systems for seamless care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license with PA residency)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred for leadership roles)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience with night shift preference
- BLS and ACLS certifications maintained throughout employment
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (Epic/EMR systems)
- Excellent critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Valid DEA certification for controlled substance administration
- Successful completion of hospital-specific orientation program
