Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to detect changes in clinical status promptly.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Develop and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Respond immediately to code blue alerts and emergency situations during the night shift.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
