Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, and treatment interventions during night shift hours
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and document patient progress using EMR systems with precision and timeliness
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical incidents following established protocols
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards across all patient care areas
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with night shift exposure
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system and clinical documentation
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently during off-hours
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
