Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU/ED during night hours
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient conditions using advanced technology
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient records accurately and maintain compliance with JCAHO standards
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking skills
- Mentor new nurses and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience with night shift preference
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
