Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions
- Respond to emergency situations with calm, decisive clinical interventions
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and regulatory compliance standards
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and family support during night hours
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee RN license with unrestricted practice status
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC or PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in Med/Surg or ICU setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC a plus)
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills for patient/family interactions during night shifts
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, healing environment overnight
