Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, identifying changes and escalating critical issues immediately.
- Provide direct patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Arizona.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required depending on unit.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
