Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue activations.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (TX RN License).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (Med-Surg or ICU background highly desirable).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care standards, and HIPAA compliance.
