Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse units during overnight hours
- Monitor and assess patient conditions using advanced monitoring technologies
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations using evidence-based protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and regulatory compliance
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active DC Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to maintain composure during high-pressure overnight scenarios
