Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to diverse patient populations in acute care settings
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform diagnostic procedures with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Respond emergently to critical situations with calm professionalism and clinical expertise
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in night shift environments
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
