Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care in ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units during overnight hours
- Administer medications and perform complex clinical procedures with precision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Epic EHR systems
- Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Respond effectively to rapid response and code blue situations
- Precept new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize critical thinking skills in high-pressure nocturnal environments
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical documentation
- Exceptional assessment and emergency intervention skills
- Ability to work independently during low-coverage night shifts
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
