Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for overnight patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and adhere to regulatory standards
- Mentor new staff and uphold evidence-based nursing practices
- Respond effectively to critical situations and rapid response activations
- Coordinate patient transitions and discharges with precision
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced overnight environments
- Exceptional communication and documentation proficiency
