Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients overnight, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations with swift clinical judgment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care during shift transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation per regulatory standards
- Precept and mentor new nursing staff to uphold department excellence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Missouri (or compact state)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year night shift experience in acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
