Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care including medication administration, wound treatment, and patient monitoring during overnight shifts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Assess patient conditions accurately and respond to emergency situations with decisive action
- Maintain precise documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions in EMR systems
- Lead patient education initiatives to empower families with post-discharge care knowledge
- Mentor junior nursing staff and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee with BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in ICU/ER settings
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
- Strong critical thinking skills for rapid decision-making in high-pressure scenarios
- Excellent communication abilities for clear handoffs and patient/family interactions
- Ability to adapt to dynamic night shift schedules and varying patient acuity levels
- Certifications in ACLS, PALS, or TNCC highly desirable
