Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care assessment, planning, and intervention for overnight patients
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and lab results
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop patient care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapid response activations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, JCAHO standards, and safety protocols
- Mentor and support nursing staff during overnight shifts
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions
- Valid Nebraska driver's license for on-call rotations
