The Role
You will assess patient needs, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for our diverse patient population in Albuquerque.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in New Mexico.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (Med-Surg or Critical Care).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Ability to lift, move, and support patients as necessary.
