Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Perform comprehensive health assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in patient status.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Crisis Management: Respond effectively to code blue emergencies and critical situations during the night shift.
- Communication: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and charge nurses, to ensure continuity of care.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions and emotional support to patients and their families regarding their treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (NC).
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and CCRN certifications are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Availability: Must be willing to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and holidays.
